I pulled into merchant’s row and started to unload at an Egil’s tourney long ago. Thankfully, it wasn’t a long trip from Portland, but I had a lot of work to do with the booth and stock. It was quite dark, but my camp lantern was good enough to work by.

The folks in the next booth were all set up and having a great time around their fire and loud enough to listen to as I was working. (…and couple of them came over and helped with unloading and getting my booth top up!) It was a group of “bunny-fur barbarians”, but their gear was made well and they were obviously researching stone age clothing and tools, and discussing how the various pieces were made.

One of the women had a beautiful figure and she was showing it off with her fur skirt and brass breast cups. She was obviously proud of them and talked about how she had made them and the source for the construction.

It had been a beautifully clear night as we were all setting up and the morning was frosty as I came back from the biffies.

I was putting more goods on my sales tables when there was a loud shriek from the next-door camp, followed by nearly-hysterical laughter. “Is everything ok?” I called. A laughing “Yes! Fine!” was the reply. ….I wondered…..

…and then the brass breast cups lady didn’t appear for another hour and when she did, those cups were fur-lined!
